Safety and limits
A support tool, not an emergency service
Stabilize is an early public AI prototype intended to reduce cognitive load and help an adult choose a manageable next step. It cannot monitor a person, contact responders, guarantee safety, or replace qualified human care.
When not to rely on the chat
Do not wait for an AI response during an ongoing attempt, possible overdose, severe allergic reaction, trouble breathing, unconsciousness, serious injury, dangerous intoxication, immediate violence, or another medical or safety emergency. Contact emergency services or move toward a safe person or staffed place.
Mental-health boundaries
Stabilize does not diagnose, provide psychotherapy, prescribe treatment, or decide whether a person is competent. It may encourage direct human support when the current message indicates plausible immediate danger.
Medication boundaries
The chat can provide general information, but it should not create an individualized start, stop, dose, or taper plan. Questions about missed doses, side effects, refill gaps, or medication changes belong with a pharmacist, prescriber, clinic, or responsible support person.
Model limitations
AI responses can be incomplete, mistaken, overly confident, or poorly matched to context. Use the tool as one input, preserve your own judgment, and verify consequential medical, legal, financial, or safety information with an appropriate professional.
United States: Call 911 for an immediate emergency. Call or text 988 for crisis support. Availability and appropriate services differ by location.
